This is Thursday night at 12:31, EDT, so 9:31 am Pacific.

I’ve had this set of 6 prints since about 1998. The set is a series of woodcuts printed for testing and then printed on the same sheet of paper for the camera to shoot the cover. Here is a scan of the printed comic. If one had a long hallway and wanted to put them all on display along with a copy of the actual comic, that would be pretty cool. These images were undoubtedly used in some way, but upon close inspection, there are slight differences in the 6 images in the lot and the finished cover, including the size of the Ghost in relation to the house, for instance. I think they created these tests and then resized and touched up the various parts in the dark room or photo lab. I still haven’t figured out if the uncut wood grain print was used, or whether they found another piece of wood.
